Scientific name: Megascops asio

Adult male grey-phase at least 8 years old.

Was hit by a car, breaking a bone in the sclerotic ring around his right eye.

Came to JJAC in March 2006.

Weighs about 5 oz.

Diet here consists of about 2 mice daily, but in the wild will eat rodents, song birds, bats, toads, flying insects, earthworms, snakes and lizards.
