The 175-acre Mill Grove estate contains five miles of marked nature trails along the Perkiomen Creek for you to enjoy! Visit any day from dawn to dusk – and bring your binoculars to spot more than 175 species of birds that frequent the property. Trail maps are available at our two covered kiosks and at the front desk of the museum. You can also join free Saturday morning bird walks with a guide every weekend from May through September, or take to the water in summer for a guided canoe trip on the creek. Click here to see our program offerings at the John James Audubon Center. While walking the grounds of Mill Grove, say hello to our Resident Birds in their home near the historic barn on property. As avian ambassadors, these non-releasable wild birds have been trained to help educate people about their natural history and issues facing birds today.
